Last Friday (August 2) saw Coach launch its first gaming efforts as part of the Find Your Courage campaign. The crossover sees Coach products appear in two Roblox titles – Fashion Klossette and Fashion Famous Two – as well as gaming/social media platform Zepeto. We were lucky enough to attend the launch event at Coach’s flagship store in New York, and talk to SVP of Global Visual Experience Gio Zaccariello and VP of Marketing Kimberly Wallengren about the collaboration and bringing fashion to Roblox.

Twinfinite: Why did you choose Roblox and Zepeto for the collaboration over any other platforms?

As more and more people worldwide are getting concerned with their digital presence, some of the world’s biggest brands are taking the opportunity to heighten their own online persona. The latest of these is renowned fashion house Coach, who launched its first gaming collaboration as part of the ongoing Find Your Courage campaign. Recently we got a look at the Coach’s collaborations, Fashion Klossette and Fashion Famous 2, as well as its collaboration with social media platform Zepeto.

Virtual Runways

Both games have similar mechanics and gameplay loops. In each game, players are tasked with creating a look for the runway, before they walk a virtual runway. In each round, players rate each other’s looks, with the winner being whichever player has created the best look.

The Shadow Hearts franchise is one of gaming’s greatest cult hits, and for good reason. Unlike the majority of RPGs, the games are set on Earth, albeit one that’s different from the one we know. Historical figures such as Mata Hari and The Grand Duchess Anastasia live alongside vampires and kung fu fighting cats, coming across demons in real-life cities is a regular occurrence, and powerful sorcerers are attempting to summon eldritch gods left, right, and center.

It’s been two whole console generations since the PS3 and Xbox 360 eras, and the generation occupies a strange middle ground. It arguably represented some of the biggest leaps in power of any console generation, but many of its games have fallen by the wayside. This is especially so for the PS3, since the console’s unique infrastructure makes emulating those games on modern consoles a tricky prospect. With that in mind, here are the top 10 PS3 and Xbox 360 Games that deserve remakes or remasters.

Sometimes, it’s easy to forget just how far games have come in such a short time. It feels like we’ve been spoiled by modern gaming to the point where what came before often feels unimpressive by comparison. As such, it can be hard to judge older games or remasters on their own merits.

Even going back to revisit some of the classics, it’s amazing how clunky and unrefined they feel by comparison. Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition takes one of the PS2’s hidden gems and brings it to the current generation of gaming. However, it doesn’t quite modernize the game as much as I was hoping. It feels like a PS2 game. While it’s a great PS2 game, it doesn’t feel quite as fluid as modern titles, which is somewhat to be expected.

Chaos Theory Games’ Strategy Roguelike Crab God puts you in control of a colony of adorable crablings. In each run you’ll have to migrate into the ocean depths, fighting off threats on your pilgrimage. Along the way, players will attract a variety of sea creatures to their habitats, fight off a variety of threats, and contribute to real-world environmental causes. While the interactive drama genre is nothing new, Until Dawn is arguably one of the most famous of them all. The game shot developer Supermassive Games to the top of the industry. Since its release, the company has released five other interactive horror games, with two more on the way. Until Dawn is getting a remake later this year, as well as a movie adaptation, but the recent casting announcement specified “new characters”. What does this mean for the Until Dawn movie?

A Straight Adaptation?

Until Dawn follows a group of eight students who come under attack from horrific forces while staying in a secluded mansion over the weekend. Over the course of the game, players will make decisions that determine which of the students will make it through the night, and which will die gruesomely.

Horror thrives on isolation. There’s a reason so many horror protagonists are cut off from civilization. If the police can turn up at any time, or escaping the alien menace is as simple as calling for help, it robs what’s going on of what makes it scary. A horror story has to have people facing near-impossible odds. Whether or not they survive depends on how generous the writer is.

So as soon as I loaded into the Beroa, a poorly-maintained oil rig in the North Sea, I was waiting for things to go very, very wrong.

All around the world, game developers are becoming more and more concerned with diversity. However, the queer community is often sidelined, despite the industry’s best intentions. Even when a developer makes an effort to showcase queer characters, there are several pitfalls that pop up again and again. The games industry needs to do better: here are five issues with queer representation in gaming.

5. The Male Gaze

Gaming is a multi-billion dollar industry. In fact, it’s worth almost double the film and music industries, combined. This means that we have to consider the issue of how diversity can affect the bottom line.

The Legend of Zelda franchise is one of the most famous in gaming history, with a history spanning almost forty years. Since then we’ve had twenty games, not including spin-offs, remakes, and remasters. With the Switch 2 on the horizon, here’s our list of five Zelda remakes for Switch 2, ranked by likelihood.

#5: The Legend of Zelda

It may be hard to believe, but the game that started it all has never been remade. It’s been re-released, most recently through the NES Classic Collection. A remake would let the game stand alongside the superior games it inspired.

We recently saw the official reveal of the next Life is Strange game. Life is Strange: Double Exposure follows original heroine Max as she solves a murder mystery using her new powers to explore parallel universes. While we love Max, we can’t help but feel like making her the star of another game is an odd choice. Here are five reasons Life is Strange: Double Exposure made the wrong choice bringing back Max.

5. Bringing Max Back Makes The First Game Too Important

To be clear, Max is a wonderful character. Life is Strange is a beautiful game, and it wouldn’t have been the same with anyone else in the lead. However, the decision to bring her back makes her – and by extension, the Arcadia Bay storyline – feel too important.

Upcoming sci-fi PVP FPS title Concord pits teams against each other as they attempt to complete a series of missions. May’s State of Play gave us our first glimpse of Concord’s intense gameplay, and we now know how much Concord will retail for.

Concord Confirmed to Release at $40

Concord is available for pre-order right now, and costs $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 / ¥4,480 MSRP, according to PlayStation’s blog. This will give people 16 playable characters, 12 unique maps, and six different game modes. Following launch, the game will receive regular updates for all players, with no additional cost.

Pride Month is here, but the queer community doesn’t exist solely in the real world. More and more often we’re seeing characters from all across the spectrum pop up in games, including some of the biggest titles on the planet. From action heroes to revolutionaries to ordinary people just trying to get by, here are our top 10 queer characters in gaming.

#10. Wrench (Watch Dogs)

Watch Dogs 2 is arguably the best in the franchise. It embraces the chaos and potential of the franchise with a diverse cast of characters. Of these, Wrench is easily the best. A playful and anarchistic hacker, his bromance with hero Marcus is one of the best parts of the game. In fact, it’s easy to imagine something romantic happening between the two given the playful flirting.

Just like the real world, the Pokemon world is split into a variety of different regions. These regions come with a variety of different biomes and ecosystems. Travel from Galar to Alola and you’ll see plenty of different Pokemon, but which are the best? Here’s our ranking of every mainline Pokemon region from the games.

10. Sinnoh

This is bound to raise some eyebrows, as the Sinnoh games (Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum) are often considered some of the best of them all. Champion Cynthia in particular is one of the most powerful Pokemon trainers in the franchise. Despite this, the Sinnoh region, which is inspired by the Japanese island of Hokkaido, leaves a lot to be desired.

May 2024’s PlayStation State of Play unveiled Astro Bot, a new platformer starring PlayStation mascot Astro Bot. The game will see the intrepid bot travelling through a variety of worlds, and coming across bot versions of plenty of beloved characters from PlayStation titles of years gone by. The SCP Foundation is one of the internet’s best-known horror projects. The site is set out as the internal catalog of anomalies held by the titular SCP (Secure, Contain, Protect) Foundation. These range from the benign (a sentient blob of goo that makes everyone happy) to the world-ending (a colossal being contained by seven chains that will eventually break free and devour everything). The SCP Foundation has already turned up in a number of different games, and even influenced Remedy’s smash hit Control. Here are the top 10 SCPs that deserve their own video games.

10. SCP-024: Game Show of Death

SCP-024 is an abandoned soundstage – at least, until there are intruders. If a group of people enter the soundstage, they’ll be greeted by the announcer. The announcer offers them the chance to take part in a game with the hopes of winning the grand prize. If they say no, they’re forcibly ejected from the building and can never return.

The Silent Hill franchise came roaring back in 2022 with the Silent Hill Transmission, announcing three new games, a film, and an interactive streaming series. Despite promising a new transmission in 2023, the whole year passed with nothing announced. 2023 did see the launch of the interactive series Silent Hill: Ascension, but the project was widely panned. 2024 has seen a new trailer for Silent Hill 2 and the release of Silent Hill: The Short Message. Now, Konami has announced a new Silent Hill Transmission for May 30. Here are five things we want to see from the event.

A Movie Trailer

Silent Hill has had a tricky history on screen. The first film, based loosely on the original game, was praised for its atmosphere, music, and visuals, but criticized for its deviation from the source material. The sequel, Silent Hill: Revelations, took inspiration from the third game, and was critically panned upon release.
